Students need a blend of modern and traditional teaching methodologies to be successful in the 21st century. Thus, I believe that besides traditional teaching practices of reading and writing, students must develop critical thinking, logical thinking, effective communication, and teamwork skills to meet the challenges and survive in a rapidly changing world. Traditional teaching methods help students build up their vocabulary and writing skills, foster problem-solving skills and initiate open communications. Traditional literacy provides a strong base for all other types of learning across various fields. Therefore, I opine that educators can maintain a balance between traditional and multimodal teaching methodologies while incorporating new techniques of teaching into the curriculum. Furthermore, multimodal approaches to learning such as media literacy, digital literacy, and visual literacy involve the active involvement of students in class which helps to foster critical thinking abilities, innovative thinking, and creativity. Therefore, I believe that embracing multimodality skills is beneficial for students to analyze and retain information for a longer time. Multimodality provides more meaningful teaching and learning experiences in learning education (Magnusson & Godhe, 2019). Thus, I opine that multimodal approaches to learning encourage children to develop an interest in different subjects and engage actively in class discussions through a more meaningful approach. Traditional assessment methods evaluate students by monitoring the progress of students with limited learning goals, whereas, incorporating multimodal assessment methods is beneficial to evaluate the overall performance of students while navigating different challenges in the 21st century. Moreover, assessing students through digital presentations develops self-confidence and fosters speaking skills in public, portfolios evaluate self-reflection and organizational skills, and group projects motivate students for open communication and foster teamwork. Overall, I believe that multimodal approaches to learning provide more inclusive learning environments where students’ perspectives are valued and prepare them to face challenges across various platforms with a profound understanding of a dynamic world.

I think that if the content included the impact of multimodality in certain context of the world and provide implementation strategies the teaching learning process it might sound a much more strong composition.
