In mainstream classrooms, educators are essential in meeting the academic and social-emotional needs of children with disabilities, neurodiverse learners, and trauma survivors. They establish inclusive environments where all students can succeed by utilizing a variety of tactics. Differentiated instruction allows teachers to adjust lessons to each student’s unique requirements while guaranteeing that all students have access to the curriculum. In my experience, creating an inclusive and encouraging learning environment in my classroom through role-playing has required educators to accommodate the different needs of their students in regular classrooms. One striking instance had a dyslexic student who had trouble understanding what they were reading. I gave them audiobooks and gave them extra time to do their projects to meet their needs. In addition, I introduced peer tutoring sessions so that classmates could provide encouragement and support, creating a sense of community in the classroom.

The concepts of Universal Design for Learning further improve inclusion by giving students a variety of methods to interact with the material, express themselves, and show that they comprehend it. Additionally, trauma-informed practices and positive behavior interventions create a secure and supportive learning environment in the classroom, which is crucial for learning. Encouraging cooperation among support workers and efficient correspondence with guardians provide a comprehensive strategy for addressing the varied requirements of students. The Australian Professional Standards for Teachers (Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership, 2018) (as cited in Sly et al., (2024)) stipulated that teachers should be able to identify and use strategies that differentiate learning for students with disabilities, know related legislation, and support their inclusive participation and engagement.

Teachers who work in the field of LGBTQ+ inclusion encounter obstacles like prejudice and a shortage of resources, but they also have the chance to provide more secure and supportive learning environments. Teaching that is culturally sensitive and integrates LGBTQ+ viewpoints into the curriculum affirms students’ identities and fosters peer understanding. Opportunities for professional development give educators the knowledge and abilities they need to support LGBTQ+ students, and the creation of safe spaces and support groups offers vital channels for interaction and help. Promoting inclusive policies in districts and schools is crucial to fostering an atmosphere where LGBTQ+ children feel accepted and encouraged. These policies should include non-discrimination guidelines and gender-affirming behaviors. Teachers may create inclusive and encouraging school environments where all children, regardless of ability or background, feel supported and valued by demonstrating empathy, adaptability, and a dedication to equity.

I am agree with Sandeep’s point of view as Teachers have a significant impact on the success of all children in the classroom, including who are facing problems, diverse learning preferences, or traumatic experiences. To ensure that everyone can learn comfortably, they employ techniques including peer assistance, audiobooks, and individual instruction. She also mentioned about Universal Design for Learning which support students with many possibilities for understanding and presenting their knowledge. By using inclusive teaching methods and LGBTQ+ support groups, educators also try to ensure that LGBTQ+ students feel comfortable and welcomed. Teachers establish friendly, welcoming settings where each child feels valued by being compassionate and fair. I also believe that we should make sure as a teacher that every pupils feel valued and supported.
